Oregon Meadowfoam/Blackberry Honey The bees have really outdone themselves with meadowfoam/blackberry honey. The blossoms of the wild Himalayan blackberry often overlap with the blossoms of the meadowfoam. The bees can’t resist the blackberry blossoms and often venture out of the meadowfoam fields and bring back blackberry nectar to the hives during meadowfoam pollination. The result is a mixture of both meadowfoam and blackberry honey inside the beehive. When we harvest this honey in the fall, our honey house smells like what we imagine a marshmallow factory must smell like! Meadowfoam/blackberry honey has a vanilla fragrance and a light marshmallow flavor. There is a distinct flavor of berry to finish that is stronger than the meadowfoam. Get a jar before it is gone! Note: Our Meadowfoam/Blackberry Honey is pure, raw, and unadulterated, and may crystalize as a result. This is to be expected of natural honey and does not impact the usability of the product.
